This trip has been so popular in the past, that I am doing it twice in 2017!  I will be escaping to Portugal in June and in September, so there are two chances for you to come along.  

Join me and my amazing co-hosts Natalie Fox in June and Phoebe Greenacre in September for a week of learning to surf, yoga in beautiful spaces, stand up paddle boarding, delicious food, sunset cocktails, exploring the cutest town where we stay, relaxation, sunshine, laughter and

good vibes only! 


WHAT'S INCLUDED

  • 6 Yoga Classes, taught by your hosts.  Some days we will have do a more flowing vinyasa class and on other days we may do a more restorative class, for example. Open to all levels, no experience needed.  
  • 4 Surf Lessons: includes wetsuits, boards, and instruction.  This is the perfect place to learn to surf! You will be taught by local, professional  surf instructors with a bunch of girls around you who are also learning in this safe, supportive environment! We are lucky to have a big wave rider and 3 time Portugese National Long Board Champion as our instructors!  These guys know their stuff when it comes to surf!  There is also an optional 5th class included if you choose to surf instead of the Lisbon excursion. 
  • 1 Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga session, including SUP rental.
  • 1 Stand Up Paddle Board Tour in a beautiful bay, including instruction and SUP rental. 
  • Daily healthy breakfasts prepared by your Healthy Chef: Jenn. 

  • 4 healthy lunches to be prepared by your own Healthy Chef: Jenn.
  • 4 dinners are included and 2 are out on your own so you can have a chance to explore some local specialties.
  • 6 nights accommodation in a beautiful house with sea views on the beach front.
  • Airport transfers to and from the surf house.
  • 2 Afternoon excursions: A visit to the beautiful town of Cascais, for an Stand Up Paddle Tour, exploring, shopping and dinner.  Optional daytrip Lisbon for some cultural fun and shopping if you’re ready for a taste of the city instead of a 5th surf lesson. 
  • Unlimited tea, coffee, and fresh fruit.
  • Daily free time to spend as you choose. You might read and relax on the balcony of the beautiful house where we are staying overlooking the beach or use the time to work on your tan at the beach or explore the charming town where we will be based.

Natalie Fox began surfing and coaching in Newquay, Cornwall. She is  an ISA surf and SUP instructor. Nat has been teaching yoga for 6 years, training in India and Bali – being drawn to the holistic benefits of a strong, fluid and also restorative practice.  A Roxy Fitness Ambassador, Surfers Against Sewage rep and volunteer for Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, Nat is passionate about conservation and is returning to Uni to study a Masters in this field later in the year. Learn more about Natalie on her website

Phoebe is a qualified vinyasa flow, power and restorative yoga instructor based in London. When Phoebe isn’t practicing yoga, she is a travel blogger, freelance business consultant and lover of all things turquoise blue. PRICE

There are a few accommodation options available in the beautiful surf house. Please note accommodation is based on a first come, first serve basis. Please book early to avoid disappointment. I will do my best to fulfil your request. 

 

1) Dorm Option:

The dorm option is a huge all girls 10 bed dorm room with a bunk beds and sea views. The dorm is white, bright, clean and simple. There is a shared bathroom with a shower and house bathroom for the dorm.  

 

2) Twin Option: 

Twin room with shared bathroom per person: £1,367

Twin room with private bathroom per person: £1,497

Please note these rooms are VERY limited. 

 

3) Single Room Option:  

Available by request.

A deposit is required to reserve your space.  The remaining payment can be paid in full or by a payment plan via bank transfer or credit card.  If you would like to come to Portugal, please contact me as soon as possible so we can secure your space as spaces are limited.

THIS RETREAT IS NOT FOR YOU IF
You don’t like to be with groups of people

We will be spending time together, you need to want to make new friends and soak up this time with other amazing women.  That being said, I also appreciate that we all need space for there will be daily free time where you can get some space. 

 
You are afraid to try new foods, aren’t interested in new cultures, people and experiences

 It can be overwhelming at first when you show up to a new place, but my hope is that you will embrace the food, culture and people. If you do, you will leave with a smile on your face. Please know there will always be healthy food options available and catering to vegetarian is not a problem! 

 

 
 You just want to lay by the pool and tan

This trip is for squeezing the most out of each day and making the most of your time in Portugal.  If you love to be active, try new things, but still have daily time to chill- this is perfect for you.  There isn’t a pool at the surf house, but the beach below the house is a 5 minutes walk away. 

 

You are looking for a detox, cleanse, juicing or weight loss retreat

Nope, this isn’t it.  We are going to eat, we are going to have a beer or cocktail if we feel like it and we will definitely not be going hungry.  There will always be healthy options available and catering for food allergies and preferences isn’t a problem. 

 

 
FAQs

What if I am coming on my own?

Amazing and well done you for having a sense of adventure to come on your own! There are single room options available or I can try to pair you up with another single traveller to share a twin room.  Don’t worry, you won’t be the only one who has come on their own, I always have lots of solo travellers come along. Plus you know me!

What if I haven´t done yoga before, will I be ok?

I think you will enjoy the retreat more if you do some yoga before coming.  Start doing it now- go to class, do videos at home between now and the retreat.  But at the same time, don’t stress -the yoga will be for all levels and abilities.  And, remember, everything is optional, so if yoga isn’t your thing and you’d rather sleep in- it’s up to you!  

Do I have to participate in all the activities?

Nope, it’s totally up to you! You do whatever will make your experience the best for you. 

Is this a detox or cleanse retreat?

No, it isn’t.  You can eat and drink as much as you like.  Breakfast is included everyday. Lunch and dinner is included most days.  You will have a couple meals that aren’t included, where you are free to eat wherever you like and can try the great culinary delights around, so it will be up to you what you want to eat.
